Cardiff Through ,As Liverpool Look To Upset The Favorites Tonight.

Cardiff managed to beat Crystal palace 3- 1 on penalties after hard fought battle. it was an entertaining match, as the two young managers of the teams Malky Mackay of Cardiff (39) and Douglas Freedman (37) of crystal palace pulled every trick out of their playbook to try and turn the game in their favor. Crystal palace lost their captain  Paddy McCarthy in the second half after he was dismissed by referee Howard Webb. Wilfred Zaha 's quick feet was not enough to get them through as the  19 year old fluffed arguably the best chance of the game after he sliced the shot wide when he found himself one on one against the Cardiff goal keeper . Cardiff, who are  third in the League Championship and challenging for promotion, got a taste of cup final action when the Welsh side lost 1-0 to Portsmouth in the 2008 FA Cup final.
whats interesting is if Liverpool manage to beat Man city tonight , Craig Bellmay will face the club he supported in his early years and Steven will get the chance to catch up with his cousin Anthony on the pitch ,as the lesser known Garrard is plays his trade as defender for Cardiff.

Gareth Barry had a torrid time in the center of the feild last time the two sides met

Man city travel to anfeild to face Liverpool for the fourth time this season . Roberto Mancini’s  slick passing 11 have managed to beat Liverpool only once this season  drawing on the first occasion ,winning the second and losing the third . the man city squad has been dealt a blow with Mario Balotelli facing a possible ban and with the Toure brothers away on African cup of nations. with Dzeko and Aguero fit and on good form , and resurgence of Samir Nasri ,and the return of Spanish talisman David Silva who played a full 90 minutes against Tottenham after a short layoff due to injury. Mancini has more than adequate options when deciding on attacking strategies. His likely to deploy Aguero behind Dzeko with Silva and Nasri on each flank .Gareth  Barry certainly will keep his place partnering Nigel De Jung in the center . error prone Savic is unlikely to start after ill judged header handed Tottenham a free goal .Liverpool’s defense have their  work cut out for them after a poor show of performance against Bolton ,Agger and co will look to get back on form and match the performance of earlier games. Kenny Dalglish unlike his Italian counterpart does not have a lot of options up front, with Luis Suarez serving the reminder of 9 match ban , his only options is to field the underperforming Andy Carroll , with downing , and Bellamy on the wings . he is likely to give Maxi Rodriguez a chance after the argentine managed to get on the score sheet against Bolton .when asked about the fixture dalsgish kept it simple : "Now we will get our minds on the Man City game,''  "We have to solve our own problems. What do we do to put it right? Same as we always do: we work.''
Steven Gerrard will look to add to his tally of goals and will surely be moved further up the field as he looked awkwardly too deep against Bolton. Liverpool have surly missed Lucas as the Brazilian is recovering from a knee injury . with jay spearing out injured .Jordan Henderson is most likely to start the game in the center of the field with Adam as deep lying playmaker. all remains to be seen as Liverpool are yet be beaten at home.

Man city average 3 goal s per game ,where Liverpool top scores  Bellamy and Suarez have 5 goals each man city currently are sitting top of the league  with 54 points with Liverpool  7th  with 35  respectively.liverpol cannot be easily dismissed when it comes to the  cup competition as they have won it 7 times with most appearances in finals .
It’s hard to predict this one but I’m guessing Liverpool go through with a away goal advantage.
